Taxation Committee

The Taxation Committee is responsible for the following tasks:

Policy Support:- Monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations and advocating for policies that align with the interests of ESAA members and the economic community.- Providing input and comments on proposed tax legislation to the relevant government agencies or legislative bodies.
Education and Training:- Developing and delivering educational programs, seminars and workshops to keep ESAA members up to date on the latest developments in tax laws and best practices.- Providing resources and training opportunities for ESAA members to enhance their expertise in taxation.
Member Support:- Providing guidance and support to members who face questions or concerns related to tax issues.- Facilitating a forum for the Society's members to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding tax issues.
Networking:- Creating opportunities for members to connect with tax professionals, fostering collaboration and the exchange of information.- Organizing events such as conferences or forums where members can interact with experts and stay informed about important trends.
Research and Publication:- Conducting research on current tax issues and trends to provide members with up-to-date information.- Publishing articles, journals or bulletins to convey relevant information about tax developments.
Professional Standards:- Contributing to the development and maintenance of professional standards related to taxation within the profession.- Supporting members' commitment to ethical and professional conduct in their tax-related practices.
Advancement of the Profession:- Working towards the advancement of the accounting profession by promoting the importance of sound tax practices and compliance.- Collaborating with other committees within the Society to ensure a holistic approach to the development of the profession as a whole.
